Have fun with your family and community while celebrating Italian culture, food and wine at the inaugural Melbourne Tomato Festival.

Come together through the basic act of preparing food on this day filled with eating, learning, music and of course, tomatoes!

Activities will include:

  • cooking demonstrations from well-known chefs including Guy Grossi and Frank Camorra
  • tomato passata making and gardening workshops
  • children’s activities
  • farmers market and produce stalls
  • talks and panel discussions
  • Italian street food

The tomato has been fundamental in kitchens for centuries and this festival was created to celebrate the harvest and its fruit, cooking, food, family and culture.

This event is created by the Grossi family and supported by the City of Whittlesea, Mint Inc, Friends of Farm Vigano and Melbourne Farmers Market.
